Frequently asked questions

EYELASH EXTENSIONS

  • Eyelash extensions are the application of synthetic hairs to your natural eyelashes. At Chateau Luxe we offer both traditional eyelash extensions using traditional professional grade eyelash extension glue, as well as the new UV LED eyelash extension method using UV light to cure your eyelash extensions with UV light glue.

  • Eyelash extensions can take anywhere from 60 minutes to 90 minutes here at Chateau Luxe. However, in some rare cases, they can take shorter or longer depending on the client. Every client here is unique and we treat every client on a case-by-case basis! There is no one size fits all when it comes to eyelash extensions at Chateau Luxe!

  • Eyelash extensions generally last anywhere from 2-3 weeks on average. However, every client will have different results based on their lifestyle and aftercare!

  • Absolutely! Eyelash extensions are made to enhance and simplify your daily make up routine. Upon completion of your eyelash extension service, you are allowed to wear makeup. However, due to the fact that you have eyelash extensions on, it’s very important to throughly clean your eyes with our Chateau Luxe eyelash extension lash cleanser to ensure no leftover debris and makeup stays on your eyes from your makeup and skincare products. We want to avoid any potential build up of bacteria on your eyes!

  • Every client reacts to eyelash extensions differently, so there is no correct answer here. Depending on how sensitive your eyes are, the end result may or may not result in eye redness. We always recommend booking a Patch Test appointment with us here at Chateau Luxe prior to your scheduled eyelash extension appointment so we can make sure you aren’t allergic to anything!

  • No, here at Chateau Luxe, all of our eyelash extension technicians are licensed, trained, and insured - ensuring you the best quality service and application. We guarantee NO damage to your natural lashes, as we take pride in proper application and removal. If you do have any loss of hairs via your real eyelashes, it can be due to your natural shedding as everyone sheds lash hairs every day. However, your lost eyelashes due to shedding will be more noticeable now when they fall with an eyelash extension glued to them.

  • Absolutely! There is no correlation of eyelash extensions to contact lenses, contrary to popular belief. Eyelash extensions will not damage or alter your natural vision in any way, shape, or form, if done correctly. Here at Chateau Luxe Salon, all of our eyelash extension technicians are licensed, certified, and insured — guaranteeing you the best service possible. Some clients have worn contact lenses during their eyelash extension application and had no issues, and other clients felt more irritation and redness during the application. You are the only one who knows your eyes best, so use your best judgement on whether or not you want to wear contact lenses during your service. With or without contacts, it will not affect our service whatsoever.

FACIAL TREATMENTS

  • Before starting any treatment, our team of skincare experts at Chateau Luxe will do an in-depth skin analysis using our premier skincare analysis machine. From there, we can determine which products and procedures would be best fit for your specific skin type and skin care goals!

  • No, we would require you to have stopped using accutane at least 7 days prior to proceeding with any skincare treatment here at Chateau Luxe.

  • Yes, you are allowed to wear makeup immediately after any of our skin care treatments as they are all non-invasive, however, due to the nature of the treatments, we do recommend avoiding to wear makeup to prevent clogging of pores and/or cross contamination and/or bacteria spreading to your skin after we have done a treatment on your face. If it’s absolutely necessary for you to wear makeup, then we recommend a minimal and light, unclogging, type of makeup for best results!

  • Although it may be allowed, we kindly recommend obtaining formal clearance from your OBGYN prior to coming to Chateau Luxe to get any facial treatments. We are not medical professionals and we cannot give any medical advice in regards to anything that may or may not affect your pregnancy and/or breast feeding. As there are many potential side effects with any facial treatment, without formal and legal medical clearance, unfortunately we will not be able to provide facial treatments to any pregnant or breast feeding mothers. Thank you for your understanding!

  • After any of our facial treatments, your skin is extremely sensitive. We recommend avoiding direct sunlight exposure/UV exposure from tanning beds for at least 72 hours after, to avoid any complications and dark spots that may appear.
